This was a student project which grew into valuable experience developing my drawings into finished designs for display. My designs were selected to take part in the "Stars of Kremlin" student fashion competition in 2011. In this competition, I had the opportunity to show my drawings to a wide audience, and my collection was selected as a finalist. These creations are drawn from traditional Serbian costumes whose many layers inspired cuts for elegant garments.
Once made these cuts were later used for a collection of jackets, skirts and dresses.

City Folklore
Diesel Power
Growing up in 90's Serbia term "Dizelash" aka "Dizel" evoked a "bad guy" look, characterised by an aggressive attitude coupled with expensive, flashy clothes from abroad (one of which is the Diesel brand). I challenged myself in creating a collection based on this movement: to extract the visual and stylistic elements from the negative connotation and reputation of the subculture in the Serbian public.
Button Necklaces
Necklaces derived from the chaos of multiple colors and textures of buttons, both old and new, are my attempt to achieve harmony. Once compositions are made they are carefully sewn by hand. Even though they resemble clouds they are not gloomy. Quite the opposite, they are colorful and playful.
